Wow, I had intentions to hunker down and get back into writing. I had set goals, as listed in a previous blog. However, Life is what what happens while you are making plans. So, as many know, we decided to start an alpaca farm. No really, not just chickens, but alpacas. We put our old house up for sale and move onto 8 acres in Rock Village (South Middleboro). I started moving and was living in the new house while Cindy lived in the old. I was getting things ready for the big move, but then the snows hit. And boy did they hit! According to the weather station, after this last dusting, we set the record for snowfall. Needless to say that put a damper on getting things done as I was shuttling between houses to dig each out. I had my snowblower at the new house, so that was a huge help, but when the snows were piling up to the five foot height, the snow blower was having trouble throwing over the top.
Well, things have settled down. We have had some melting. There is some more snow predicted, but we are in that time of season where the temps rise and melt occurs. So a few inches are usually gone in a day or two. I am actually starting to see patches of ground. That is good, because the corners for my raised beds arrived as did the strawberries! Yikes. I need to get out back and plot things out but there is still a foot of snow on the ground. I will get some seed starter so that I will have seedlings. The previous owner actually had a set of shelves built with a timer to control lamps. Probably make use of that. Really shouldn’t plant until May, but have to get seeds started.
Okay, so I took on another challenge. On GoodReads, I got a challenge to set a goal of reading books. I set it at fifteen for the year. I managed two on my trip to Austin. So another thirteen for the year. I also still have the 30 day photography challenge. So I will locate my camera and set a date to start. I should be able to do that at least.
I has also challenged myself to write a blog a week. That also fell through the cracks as things wound up and I spent a lot of time nursing myself after shoveling snow all day. So I plan on getting back to that. The blogs will not just be about getting Rock Village Alpaca Farm up and running, but will also touch on other subjects that I have wanted to do. I used to be a serious writer one time. No really, I was.
Well, I just wanted to do a quick post before going off to bed. I plan on tackling many subjects over the coming months. Some may be light-hearted, some may be dark and thoughtful. That is the way I am though. So bear with me.
My heart to your heart, one heart, one spirit.
Oh, and I have got to get a new laptop. That is one of the reasons I have trouble keeping up writing. This laptop isn’t one of the best I have had. It is serviceable, but I think time to retire it. I bought my son and wife new ones, but hold on to the old for me as I have other things that need attention. Of course, loathing Windows 8 is another reason I am reticent to move. Windows seems to get it right about every other release. Maybe Windows 10 will be the magic one. I just want a laptop that can keep up to the speed of my typing.
content as you did, the internet will be much more useful than ever

Generally I don’t read post on blogs, but I would like to say that this write-up very forced me to try and do it! Your writing style has been surprised me. Thank you, quite great post.
